The air system of the glass tempering furnace consists mainly of the air pump station (or air-supply device provided by the tempering furnace user), air distribution station, pipes, cylinders, auxiliary electrical control units, and other devices.

The air system of the glass tempering furnace provides primarily the following functions: It is used to control the pneumatic components such as the furnace door cylinder, the lift cylinder of the loading platform, the chiller cylinder for the tempering blower, the cylinder for the half chiller of the air distribution box, and the cylinder for switching between the large and small blowers. It works together with other sections in the glass tempering furnace to complete the glass tempering process.
