On December 25, 2013, Mr. Michael Spellman, a business partner of LandGlass in the North American market, visited Luoyang Children's Welfare Institute located in Mangshan area with his family and gave the children Christmas gifts and blessings.

During the Chinese New Year's Day of 2013, Mr. Michael Spellman, together with his wife Carolyn and two daughters Erin and Sara, visited the children there and brought them many daily necessities. Today, on 2013 Christmas Day, Mr. Michael Spellman and his family came to China from America to spend this festival with these children. Christmas is an important festival in western countries when children receive presents from their family and feel their love. The Spellmans chose to come here again on this day to show their love for those children.

As soon as Mr. Michael Spellman and his family appeared in the children’s activity center in the Welfare Institute, they drew the children’s attention. The Spellmans played with those children and taught them how to say English words like “Hello, Thank you, and Goodbye”, and the children smiled innocently. During this Christmas trip, the Spellmans paid a special visit to the children with cerebral palsy whom they had visited last year and brought them children’s wheelchairs. With the help of wheelchairs and in the company of nurses, they can go out to see the outside world.

On hearing that the Spellmans were about to leave, a 17-year old cerebral palsy patient who had been receiving rehabilitation treatment in the Welfare Institute for a long time volunteered to play the piano for them. Everyone was amazed at his wonderful performance and was very glad that thanks to more and more care from the society, those disabled children, though abandoned by their families, could grow and live in a better environment. Before leaving, Mr. Michael Spellman exchanged phone number and email address with staff of the Welfare Institute, and the family said that they would continue to raise funds in America to help these lovely children.
