On July 20, 2021, LandGlass, VIG Technologies, and Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) reached an agreement for exclusive rights to manufacture, market, and supply LandVac tVIG, Tempered Vacuum Insulated Glass units in North America.

Michael Spellman, CEO, VIG Technologies noted, “Landglass has made a significant investment over several years in developing a game changing technical concept into a manufacturing reality.” Spellman further commented, “Vitro is the perfect partner to lead the North American market in utilizing this ‘best in class’ vacuum insulating technology in improving occupant comfort while significantly reducing energy usage and thereby reducing our carbon footprint.”

The three parties are optimistic about the future market. Vitro will begin supplying LandVac tempered vacuum insulated glass units by late Autumn 2021, and will have further announcements concerning future equipment installation allowing for expanded manufacturing within its North American operations.
